As I’ve mentioned in my other posts about Siargao, it’s one of my favorite places, perhaps ever. (If you want to know why, you can read my other post about Siargao here.) Many warned me about the food in the Philippines before I went, saying it wasn’t good at all, and I should prepare for McDonald’s or 7-Eleven every day. But NO! I found Filipino food to be generally delicious, and I didn’t see a single McDonald’s during the entire time. Similarly in Siargao, it’s full of great restaurants and cafes. You’ll find not only Filipino food, but Siargao has much more to offer. Here is the best restaurants in General Luna
To ensure you don’t miss the best, I’m listing them here, but there’s so much more than these, and you’ll surely find your own favorite.
Shaka café – Best café in General Luna
Shaka Cafe is a small but incredibly cozy cafe in Siargao by the beach where you can eat the tastiest and freshest smoothie bowls you will ever taste with a beautiful view. Eat here to start your day in the best way!
If you want to be inspired by their delicious selection of bowls, I won’t include their menu here: Shaka’s Menu.
Kermit one of the best restaurants in General Luna
Kermit Siargao is a bit more luxurious restaurant known for their super delicious pizzas. I can truly recommend Kermits pizza! Read more about Kermit here.
La Carinderia
At La Carinderia, you can find very delicious pasta but also typical Filipino food. I highly recommend their bolognese.
Crepes Siargao
If you’re in the mood for a tasty crepe, go to Crepes Siargao and indulge. They have both sweet and more savory crepes so you can both have a snack and have lunch here.
Miguel’s Tacqueria
Miguel’s Tacqueria has very good and affordable Mexican food. Perfect for lunch but also dinner. Their taco is very good, but the burrito is also tasty. One of the best restaurants in General Luna.
Corner Café
Last but not least, we have our favorite, Corner Café. They have waffles, baguettes, and other delicious items. I think we loved that café because of the friendly staff and the fact that the food, in all its simplicity, was so good. A great place to buy a picnic for your adventures.
For being such a small and relatively unknown island, there are truly magical places to eat and drink. (Don’t forget to try the apple beer available everywhere in the Philippines).
